Trailer & Cargo Categories

Which trailers count as Boxed, Refrigerated, Tanker, Open Deck or Bulk on each map, and how Cold Chain, Fragile Expert, High Value Handler, ADR Specialist and Master of Freight read your cargo.

Updated 04 Oct 2026

Six cards look at what you hauled or what you hauled it in. Each map has its own approved list of trailers and cargo, so the same trailer can belong to a different category on a different map - the tables below are per map.

Cold Chain

  • Cold Chain looks at the trailer you actually used, not at the cargo.
  • The trailer is looked up in the table for the map you drive. Only trailers listed as Refrigerated count - reefers with active cooling.
  • Insulated vans are Boxed, not Refrigerated.
  • Food tanks are Tankers, not Refrigerated - even when the liquid inside is chilled.
  • A cargo does not count just because the game files tag it as refrigerated cargo; it has to be in a refrigerated trailer.
  • A fragile cargo in a reefer counts for Cold Chain and Fragile Expert at the same time.

Trailer Tactician

Trailer Tactician needs deliveries in five different trailer categories. Your trailer's category comes from the table for the map you drive:

  • Boxed - A closed trailer with no cooling: dry vans, curtainsiders and insulated vans.
  • Refrigerated - A reefer with active cooling. This is the only category that counts for Cold Chain.
  • Tanker - Tank trailers for fuel, gas, chemicals and food liquids - food tanks included.
  • Open Deck - Flatbeds, drop decks, lowbeds, container chassis, log trailers and vehicle or panel transporters.
  • Bulk - Tippers, dumpers, hoppers, silos and other loose-bulk trailers.
  • Only trailers in the approved table for your map count. Special Transport, livestock, rigid and passenger bodies and unsupported mod trailers do not count automatically.
  • Maps and mods not listed below are not supported, so their trailers are not guaranteed to count.

Fragile Expert

  • A cargo is fragile when the game puts it in the fragile cargo group, or when its fragility is 0.70 or higher.
  • Other properties do not get in the way: a refrigerated, valuable or dangerous cargo still counts as fragile when it meets that rule.

High Value Handler

  • The cargo must be marked as valuable in the game's own cargo data. The name alone decides nothing.
  • A valuable cargo can count for Fragile Expert, ADR Specialist or Cold Chain at the same time when it meets their rules too.

ADR Specialist

  • The cargo's own ADR class decides which class it fills: classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8.
  • A dangerous cargo can count for another card too - for example High Value Handler or Fragile Expert - when it meets that card's rule.

Master of Freight

Every delivery gets exactly one freight family, the first that matches in this order:

  1. Dangerous goods - The cargo has an ADR class.
  2. Refrigerated - The cargo is in the refrigerated cargo group.
  3. Liquid - The cargo is in the liquid cargo group.
  4. Heavy - The cargo is marked overweight in the game.
  5. Construction / machinery - The cargo is in the construction or machinery group.
  6. General - Anything that matched none of the above.

This one-family rule is for Master of Freight only. It never stops a delivery from also counting for Cold Chain, High Value Handler, Fragile Expert or ADR Specialist.

Weight cards

Heavy Duty, Weight of the World, Steady Hands, The Last Drop, No Safety Net and Fuel Master read the actual cargo weight recorded for the delivery. There is no list of trailers for these cards: any trailer counts when the load is heavy enough. Weight of the World does not count Special Transport jobs.

Fuel cards

  • Fuel Master and The Last Drop take a weighted average: the fuel of every qualifying delivery is added up, the distance is added up, and the two are divided once. A long haul therefore weighs more than a short one.
  • In L/100 km, lower is better. In US MPG, higher is better. The card shows the limit in the unit system you have selected.
  • The limits and the deliveries that qualify are listed on the ETS2 and ATS pages.
