Challenge cards are long-term goals inside one game. Each card lists exactly what it needs on its back - hover or tap a card on your Challenges page - and the pages below explain each one in plain words.
- ETS2 Challenges - every Euro Truck Simulator 2 card.
- ATS Challenges - every American Truck Simulator card.
- Trailer & Cargo Categories - which trailers and cargo count for which card.
The basics
- One game at a time. A card is completed entirely within ETS2 or entirely within ATS. Progress from the two games is never combined.
- Only deliveries made since challenges launched count, and only in the game the card belongs to.
- Only finished truck deliveries count. Cancelled and unfinished jobs, jobs flagged for cheating, and Road Trip car jobs never count.
- Ranking mode. Each card names the modes it accepts. A stricter mode always counts toward a card that accepts a lighter one: Masterclass counts for a Realistic card, and both count for an Arcade card.
- Distance is road driving. Ferries and trains move you without driving, so they add no distance.
- Damage. "No new damage" means nothing on the truck, trailer or cargo was damaged during the delivery. "Cargo delivered undamaged" only looks at the cargo.
- Weight is the actual load. Weight requirements read the cargo weight recorded for the delivery - not the trailer, and not the cargo name.
How progress works
- Accumulated cards add up qualifying deliveries. A delivery that does not qualify just does not count.
- In a row cards (streaks and chains) need an unbroken sequence. A delivery that does not meet the card breaks the sequence instead of being skipped.
- Per category cards need several different categories, each filled to its own target.
- Averaged cards (fuel) use a weighted average over all qualifying deliveries.
- A completed card stays completed. Later deliveries, a broken streak or a rule change never take a finished card away.
Metric and US units
ETS2 cards are always shown in metric. ATS cards follow your unit choice: switch between Metric and US with the unit switch in the top bar. Only the way a number is written changes - the requirement itself is identical.
Fuel economy reverses when you switch: in L/100 km a lower number is better, in US MPG a higher number is better. A card that asks for "no more than" a value in L/100 km asks for "at least" the matching value in US MPG.
The unlock percentage
Each card shows how many challenge drivers of that game have unlocked it - for example "12.4% unlocked". It is worked out separately for ETS2 and ATS:
- It counts drivers who have challenge progress in that game.
- Of those, it counts the ones who have completed that card, including cards completed long ago.
- It is refreshed every five minutes and never shows anyone's name. Until the first figures are in, a card shows "Unlock rate pending" instead.
